Beginner DJ

For the last 8 months I have been o a journey to become a Top Rated Houston DJ. I bought a mixing board in July, and began practiing in my bed room. Before the week over, I had a gig. The importance of this gig was the be able to play good, and be booked again. I was nervous because I never used this board before, and I really didn't have that much music.

I went out there in the summer heat, and played a good set. I came home that day and posted on my Instagram. I had two posts on my instagram, but I knew I felt an urge to continue Djing.

I had my first gig down, but wasn't sure when I was going to get my next gig. The lord knows how to work in your favor. I got booked for my fraternity's hump day. Tell you the truth I was nervous and excited to Dj in front of my peers. I practiced a couple of pool parties, but this was really BIG for me. I knew if I did good, I would have a lot busy. If I did bad then I would never get booked again.

The hump day was really live. I even thought everybody liked it. But I realized I gain new clients and loss some. I would never get book by them again, even know they said I did a good job. I would hear they didn;t think I was a real DJ. This hurted because they could've just told me. I was only one month nto DJing again. Though this was a set back, I continued to press forward in my journey to DJ.

Been a journey being a DJ. I would say that whenever you are going towards a dream and new thing in your life. You have to be relentless in the pursuit to make it happen. No one can see your own vision, so that means you have to make it happen, no matter the set backs.
